The following are the fixtures for the new season, commencing with the first one
to be held at East Cramlington Nature Reserve on 8th October. To any members who have not tried it just let Tom Hanson or Frank Watson know beforehand to get registered.
Most races are about 5 or 6 miles, with the athletes being seeded into packs.
The Senior Men are divided into Slow, Medium and Fast packs.
This year the women’s race will again have a slow, medium and fast pack, with the team competition been put into 2 divisions, like the men’s race is at the moment.
All new runners will automatically go into the slow pack, with progress through the packs dependent on overall finishing position. There are three Divisions for the men, with Elswick currently in Division 1, and 2 divisions for the women.
Spikes are recommended on most courses, but not obligatory.
Elswick are needing slow pack runners in particular, so why not give it a try, it’s a great form of hard winter training.

The NE XC championships will be held also at East Cramlington Nature Reserve on Saturday 10th December, note, this race is been used as a Club Championship race.
The Northern XC Championships will be held on Saturday 28th January, the venue TBC...
The ECCA XC Championships will take place on 25th February at Parliament Hill, London.
