NEHL Prudhoe
The final Start Fitness Harrier League fixture was staged at Prudhoe on Saturday
March 26th with our U/13 Girls ending up overall winners with PHILLIPA CHAMBERS leading the individual placings, and brother GREGG emulating his sister by leading the U/15 Boys section. The Senior Men held on well to retain their First Division status, with ADAM SOUTHERN having a fine run to claim 7th spot.
Next home for the club was PAUL PRIOR IN 34TH Place. KEVIN STEPHENSON,
LEE BENNETT, GRAHAM CHAMBERS, and DAVE JARDIN packed well to hold off the challenge of Low Fell and Tynedale. The Women had a most promising season with ALLISON DARGIE winning the Silver Medal in the overall standings.
Full marks to Jill Bennett in rallying the troops to get as many Women out throughout the season. PHIL HURST once again put Elswick on the national scene by finishing third in the Cross Country Home International fixture in Antrim to slightly make up for the disappointment of the Nationals at Alton Towers.
