Ex Elswick Harrier keeps in Touch
It was nice to get a card from LUCY PRINS who left the club, as she and her family moved to the Highlands. Lucy was delighted to receive her award for being third Senior Woman in last years club championship. She has now joined Lochaber A.C. in Fort William and has been enjoying some races in their Winter series. Anyone interested in next years Ben race should contact her via Frank. Lucy asked me to pass on her good wishes and to wish everyone a good summers running.

Blaydon Race Report
A great turn out of Elswick Lads and Lasses for the 31st Start Fitness Blaydon Race.
On a perfect night for running despite a headwind the 4000 strong field left Collingwood street dead on time with Ex Elswick man Ryan McLeod to the fore.
The finish in Blaydon precinct provided a great spectacle with the first four runners in a tight finish. Ryan despite a great effort had to be content with 4th spot.
It was great to see so many red and white Elswick vests gannin alang the Scotswood Road with the preliminary results for the first 400 finishers showing a total of 21 Elswick there. First home for the club was PAUL TURNER in 39th in 32:45, with LEE BENNETT next in 56th 33:43. ADAM SOUTHERN was next 96th 35:27, with IAN FENWICK 107TH 35:48, PAUL PRIOR 109TH 35:50.
