Blyth Sands Handicap Race – Sunday 2nd December 2018.

A really testing course today at this popular and increasingly classy event held on the Blyth sea front. The tide was in which made the going really tough with athletes having to negotiate their way across lots of rocks and through sea water and even quick sand at times. On top of that it was raining so quite a challenge this year.

The Elswick team members ran well with Mark McNally just missing out on his third victory here when he was passed by a North Shields Poly athlete only 10 yards from the finish line. Next home was Harry followed by Kim, Lee, Jeff, Andy, Steve and Dave.

Mark received the runner up award and Harry took 1st M70 prize. The team of four counters were just pipped for third team by Tyne Bridge.

Well done all.
