The North East Masters XC Championship takes place on Sunday 4th February at Darlington Rugby Football Club. As you know we have a good track record at this event and hopefully we can bring back some well earned medals. Durham Cathedral Relays are on Sunday 14th January at the university’s playing fields behind Maiden Castle Sports Centre (DH 1 3 SE). Approx 3 km course mostly flat grassed route. 3 races: V35+ Senior & Vet Women 35+ & the Senior mens race (the 1st 2 races are NEMAA Champs). Names for gents & ladies to the clubs FB page or contact Tom Hanson Direct (contact details on the website under tab heading secretary). The Northern XC Championships are on Saturday 27th January at Harewood House, Leeds (LS 17 9 LG). Tom Hanson needs names before the on-line system closes which is Friday 12th January. Seniors and Vets names please to Tom or to the club’s FB page asap. For the juniors, please forward names to the junior coaching staff. Kindly note: no late entries are accepted by the event organisers. A full program of racing starts at 11 am for junior athletes and race distances from 5.5 km to 8 km (age dependant). Senior & Vets races start at 2.15 pm for the ladies (8 km) and finally the gents race (12 km) starts at 3.05 pm. Club vest must be worn. Chip timing will be used. race prospectus
The National XC Championships are on Saturday 24th February at the famous Parliment Hill (Hampstead Heath) venue in London. Names please asap to the club’s FB page, Tom Hanson or Jill Bennett, Ladies Club Representative.
