Congratulations to Elswick Harrier, Phil Sanderson, finishing 3rd overall and 1st vet in a gruelling Chevy Chase fell race today. Conditions were poor and the route was shortened from the usual 20 to 15 miles as mountain rescue advised the organisers at Wooler running club they would be unable to pick runners up off the top of the Cheviot due to the water logged state of the ground. The race was won by Howgill Harrier Carl Bell, and Welsh runner Hugh Aggleton was second.  The starting line up included Nick Swinburn and Ian Harding. Phil used his experience and knowledge of the route to lead the first 3 runners round. Well done Phil
